The animated short film “Valencia” is set to launch in September, MTV News has confirmed.

“Valencia” is a fictional story about a young woman named Valentina who, in order to stay alive and save her life, must become a superhero in order protect her family.

The trailer features a clip from the upcoming film “Vampire Weekend.”

Valencia will be released on MTV in the U.S. and Canada in the fall.

The film stars the voice talents of Christina Applegate (The Flash), Emma Roberts (The Hunger Games), Kaitlin Olson (The Good Wife), Adam Driver (Transformers: Age of Extinction), and Jada Pinkett Smith (Archer).

The short film premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and has received two Academy Award nominations.

It was nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Cinematography.
